Our Deth-Bar soaps last about 2–3 weeks with daily use. That lifespan depends on how hard you go in the shower — how much you lather, how often you scrub, how much body hair you’re working through, and even your water type. Hard water chews through bars faster. Friction and flow matter. Physics is undefeated.
If you want your bar to survive the war zone and not melt like a weak excuse, here’s how to keep it strong:
Let it dry like it just fought a battle.
Don’t let your bar sit in a puddle of its own remains. Store it somewhere with real airflow. A draining soap saver keeps it elevated and dry — and that alone can seriously extend its life.
Shake it off.
When you’re done, give it a quick snap to throw off excess water. Standing water is the enemy. Deth-Bar isn’t built to drown.
Build lather with friction, not flooding.
Use a loofah or washcloth to create lather. Don’t hold the bar under constant running water like it owes you money. Controlled pressure. Intentional movement. That’s how you get more out of it.
Respect the bar and it’ll show up for you.

Most Deth-Bar products are formulated without gluten-containing ingredients. That said, sensitivities and allergies are personal — and serious — so we always recommend consulting your primary care provider if you have specific concerns about allergens or ingredient exposure.

All Deth-Bar safety testing is performed on adults 18+. That’s the battlefield we test on.
We haven’t specifically tested our products for pre-teens or teens. Younger skin can be more reactive, especially with all the hormonal chaos happening under the surface. Skin isn’t just skin — it’s biology in motion.

Decades of research show that regular soap and water are just as effective as antibacterial soap for everyday hygiene. The real power isn’t in a “kill count.” It’s in chemistry and friction. Soap molecules are amphiphilic — meaning one end grabs onto water and the other grabs onto oils and grime — so when you rinse, you’re physically lifting dirt, oil, and microbes off your skin and sending them down the drain.

Built like it fell out of orbit. This bar blends olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, and castor oil into a rich, skin-conditioning base — then loads it with pumice sand, oatmeal particles, bamboo, charcoal powder, and pine extract.
Charcoal helps draw out grime. Pumice and bamboo bring the grit. Oatmeal softens the edge. Pine keeps it grounded and raw.
This is the bar for when the day stuck to you. Scrub it off.

But what goes into it? That’s global.
We source high-quality ingredients from around the world — selecting oils, botanicals, and natural elements from the regions where they’re grown and produced best. If a specific place makes it better, that’s where we go. Quality over convenience. Always.
Simple Answer: Lye does not exist in the finished Deth-bar product.
What is Lye?
Lye is an essential ingredient in all handcrafted, cold-process soaps. It is the catalyst that turns the liquid vegetable oils we use (olive, coconut, etc.) into the hardened product.
No lye, no soap. Period. It’s the catalyst — the spark — that transforms liquid plant oils like olive and coconut into a solid bar through a chemical reaction called saponification. That word just means “turning fat into soap.” It’s chemistry doing its thing.
During saponification, the lye reacts fully with the oils. It’s consumed in the reaction. What’s left behind is soap and naturally formed glycerin — which your skin actually loves.
Now let’s take it one level deeper.
At Deth-Bar, we use what’s called a “superfatting” formula. That means we intentionally formulate the recipe with slightly more oils than the lye can convert. The result? A small percentage of nourishing oils remain unsaponified in the final bar. Translation: less stripping, more conditioning. Clean without feeling like your skin just got sandblasted.
So yes, lye starts the fire.
But it doesn’t survive the transformation.
What you’re holding is chemistry completed — a hardened bar of oils turned into soap, balanced to cleanse hard and leave your skin intact.
